why "short" is the it word of Summer...
let me tell you !!
Everything is coming up short lately!! But like, in a positive way. I’m leaning into all things short for Summer and it feels sooo good.
Styles ebb and flow but when Summer rolls around I’m all about minimizing chaos. I easily get overstimulated…and I’m a little over it. I’m here to break down 5 ways the word short is bleeding into personal style lately. Take from it what you will! :)
1. ) SHORT HAIR:
A random act we all toy with from time to time, and I’m just grateful my recent hair cut was sort of an accident!? When i’m in a salon I feel like a different human (anyone else lol?) and just get the urge to chop it off. Anyway, so glad I did. It will always grow back !! You can never underestimate the power a haircut has and how it can easily transform the vibe of your closet. Also- short hair is just wayyy easier to manage in the humidity!

2.) SHORT NAILS:
Ok, i’ve always been a short nails kind of girl. I really just don’t like the feeling of long nails. I’ve tried and I just find it difficult to do literally anything with them. And, i’ll admit that I like to do things the French way when it comes to nails. Trés chic!

3.) SHORT SHORTS
Micro !! I definitely did not think this “trend” would be one I leaned into but I have to say..I love it. I think micro shorts will remain a staple in my Summer wardrobe for years to come!! I love how easy they are to style beyond anything else. I’ve linked some of my favs here:
4.) SHORT HANDBAGS
Love a handbag moment. For some reason I have a tough time finding shoulder bags that actually stay on my f*cking shoulder. Like they always slip off and then I get overstimulated ….please tell me I am not the only one?? Because of this, i’m very happy short handled bags are plentiful right now. Carrying a petite bag or clutch can really elevate an outfit that could be plain otherwise! Here are some of my favs right now:

5.) SHORT NECKLACES
Yes! Yes! Yes! Shorter necklaces are all i’m wearing at the moment. I like to stack mine for some extra magic. There’s a time and a place for every necklace, but I think shorter for Summer! Here are some selects that I find darling!
