the exact routine I follow for great skin throughout my cycle
daily meal rotations, sleep hacks, current product favorites, and the skin experts in LA & NYC I trust.
Things are heating up and more skin is showing!!
Year-round, skin health is a priority for me. If you know me IRL, you’ll likely catch me looking like a freak in my favorite hat on most days (which is on sale right now, by the way).
As annoying as it sounds, before any topicals are added, I always start by supporting my skin from the inside out. I can tell you first-hand that if you pay closer attention to your sleep and eating habits, you’ll notice the impact they truly have on your skin.
At a facial the other day (after a few weeks of rough sleep), my aesthetician actually pointed out how different my skin barrier was. Needless to say, sleep has been a major priority lately and things are starting to look up! I also recently started to cycle supplements and nutrients in parallel with my cycle to support better sleeping habits, and it has been an absolute game-changer. I’m so thankful to my naturopath who has been helping me navigate this.
The best topical routine in the world can’t out-style a lack of sleep or a depleted gut. So, before we talk about products, let’s talk about the foundation.
Below, I’m breaking down my exact daily summer plate rotations for good skin from the inside out.
Current Meals:
Breakfast: I always prefer something warming. Recently I’ve been switching between:
Stovetop Oats: Sprouted oats, vanilla protein, flax oil, almond butter, and wild blueberries.
Organic Egg Scramble: 2-3 eggs mixed with spinach, mushrooms, and arugula, served on top of sourdough or sweet potato toast.
!!! A quick note: Eggs used to break me out so badly (acne + eczema), but after healing my gut, I can finally tolerate them! Just a reminder that a current problem doesn't have to be your forever reality!!!
Lunch: Now that it’s summertime, I am gravitating towards lighter, brighter, and cooler foods.
Berry Vanilla Protein Smoothie: Vanilla protein, PB powder, flax seeds, coconut water, banana, wild blueberries, and cinnamon (always topped with granola—the best!).
Coconut Yogurt Bowl: Cocojune yogurt mixed with vanilla protein and topped with flax seeds, wild mixed berries, granola, and bee pollen.
Turmeric Tahini Shredded Chicken Salad: Shredded rotisserie chicken served over a bed of mixed greens, peppers, and onions (I’ll add quinoa or sweet potato depending on hunger levels).
Snacks & Sips: Walnuts, cucumber, matcha, and hibiscus tea are all in heavy rotation. Also, the Fuji apples at Erewhon have been hitting so right lately. Anyone else?
Dinner: Probably my favorite and most diverse mealtime.
Slow-roasted Japanese sweet potato with organic grass-fed beef, sautéed zucchini, and peppers.
BBQ roasted organic chicken thighs with a beet + feta quinoa salad and roasted cauliflower.
Wild salmon over rice with crispy brussel sprouts and a shaved carrot salad.

Bodycare Routine
I absolutely love my body care routine. It is one of the only times in my day where I completely slow down. I’m guilty of sometimes rushing my face routine, but when it comes to my body I really don’t mess around.
First and foremost, I try to get a lymphatic drainage massage at least once a month (every other week if I can manage it). I notice a massive difference in how detoxifying it feels. When a professional drainage session isn't practical, I always go back to dry brushing. If you’re consistent, you will notice a difference. I like to do it right after I shower with this brush specifically.
Because I spend so much time on body care, I love to play around with different oils and creams:
Morning: My oil of choice right now is from Mutha. I really prioritize my kneecaps, neck, and shoulders since they hit the sun hard. I’ve also been using this moisturizer from Nécessaire for my legs and arms.
Night: I go a little more luxurious…the greasier the better before bed. I looooove this oil from Tronque. I also lather on moisturizer from OneSkin. It does the work. The back of my arms used to be so dry, but now they are unbelievably smooth.
GOOD SKIN RECCS:
If you are looking to book a treatment that actually moves the needle, these are the exact people I trust with my skin.
For facials:
(LA) Madison at SkinWorship : A beautiful, luxurious experience. She really takes her time to cleanse the skin and help repair the barrier.
(LA) Sylvie at SkinbySylvie: She has completely changed my skin this year and is a true teacher. I always leave feeling more educated, and she has honestly saved me so much $$ by stopping me from buying random products that don’t get to the root of the issue.
(NYC) Pacific Touch : A fabulous facial experience for anyone dealing with acne-prone or reactive skin.
For body:
(LA) Patty at refinedbody : My number one! I adore Patty and always feel like a completely new person when I leave her studio.
(LA) Lymphatic by Siane: A really great experience. They have multiple locations, which makes last-minute bookings way easier.
(NYC) Rhemedy by Rhed: My absolute go-to when I’m in the city. It’s such a relaxing, calming environment.
Hope this edit was helpful for you!
